Sanjiv joined Silver Lane’s Advisory Board in 2009. Sanjiv is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Covanta Holding Corporation (NYSE: CVA) and is responsible for accounting, treasury, investor relations, strategy, financial planning, tax and information technology. Covanta is the largest Energy-from-Waste company in the world, annually generating enough electricity to power over 1,000,000 homes while processing approximately 20 million tons of municipal solid waste. Covanta's Energy-from-Waste facilities provide sustainable municipal solid waste management to communities around the world, generate renewable, base load electricity and reduce greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.

Prior to joining Covanta, Sanjiv had a lengthy career with General Motors (“GM”) and GMAC Financial Services ("GMAC") from 1989 until 2008, where he had significant leadership assignments in treasury, business development, controller, and special project functions, both in the U.S. and overseas. He was appointed Chief Financial Officer of GMAC in 2004, and was instrumental in guiding GMAC to its evolution from a captive 100%-owned subsidiary of GM to a standalone diversified global financial services company, controlled by a consortium of investors led by Cerberus.

Sanjiv also serves on the board of The Global Fund for Children, a DC-based global charity focused on creating awareness and providing support to address the needs of the world’s most vulnerable children and youth.

Sanjiv has an M.B.A. from the University of Michigan and Bachelor of Engineering from Panjab University in India.
